ARTIE Architecture
The ARTIE Architecture is a layered governance and infrastructure model designed to support healthcare safety, research transparency, and accountable institutional coordination.
The system is intentionally conservative in design, prioritizing compatibility, auditability, and responsible stewardship over speculative or financially driven activity.
Design Principles
ARTIE is built on principles intended to align with regulated, academic, and compliance-aware environments.
- Institution-compatible integration without custody or financial participation requirements
- Audit-oriented transparency and stewardship accountability
- Privacy-respecting coordination that does not store protected health information
Architecture Overview
ARTIE is organized as interoperable layers. Each layer performs a distinct function and may be adopted independently depending on institutional needs and compliance considerations.
Governance & Stewardship Layer
Provides frameworks for transparent decision-making, stewardship roles, policy alignment, and long-term oversight across ARTIE-aligned initiatives.
Clinical Safety & Interoperability Layer (NCISA-Aligned)
Supports safety-aligned monitoring principles and interoperability accountability. This layer does not replace clinical systems and does not provide medical decision-making functionality.
Patient Data Access & Audit Layer (PADAXIS-Aligned)
Supports patient-centered access accountability, auditability, and data integrity verification while respecting privacy and existing healthcare data system boundaries.
Infrastructure & Network Coordination Layer (LIN-Aligned)
Enables scalable coordination, verification, and system integrity across ARTIE-aligned environments without introducing speculative or financial dependency.
Institutional Interface
ARTIE is designed to complement existing systems and governance structures.
- Hospitals and health systems may engage without altering care delivery or EHR control
- Universities and research programs may participate without token custody
- Regulated environments benefit from conservative disclosure and audit-conscious design
Clarifications
- ARTIE does not provide medical advice, treatment guidance, or clinical decision-making
- ARTIE does not replace existing clinical, research, or compliance systems
- ARTIE is not designed for speculative trading or financial promotion
